If you are a property manager, you will need to set an annual budget to comply with the statutory requirements of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. There is no getting away from it, completing your annual asbestos re-inspections is something you simply must do.
All too often a property manager is simply someone who has to sign off the order for an asbestos re-inspection every year, without ever really having to worry about the cost too much. Should that budget be your sole responsibility, or the money is coming from your pocket, you will want to get the best service for the most competitive price, this is where Survey Safe™ come in!
Survey Safe™ provide a highly professional service, at fantastic rates, our surveyors are extremely experienced in all aspects of asbestos surveying, removal, encapsulation and advice on how to deal with this deadly material.
Many establishments have commented in the past that engaging a professional asbestos consultancy such as Survey Safe™ to conduct their surveys and re-inspections, is far cheaper than conducting re-inspections in house. Because we specialise in asbestos, we have the expertise to deal with the issue, unlike an in house surveyor who probably has to wear several other hats in their day to day work. Survey Safe™ use the very latest technology to ensure you receive the best service available.
When we visit your site to carry out an asbestos re-inspection, we are also able to advise on other issues such as fire safety and the risks associated with Legionella. There may be a risk of exposure to Legionella if your workplace or premises has one of the following:
Legionellosis is a collective term for diseases caused by Legionella bacteria including the most serious Legionnaires' disease, as well as the similar but less serious conditions of Pontiac fever and Lochgoilhead fever. Legionnaires' disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia and everyone is susceptible to infection. The risk increases with age but some people are at higher risk including:
Our Asbestos Re-Inspection service includes:
How often you need to have an asbestos inspection will rather depend on the type of Asbestos Containing Materials, the location of said materials and by the activities taking place in that specific area. In most instances it is expected that a re-inspection would not exceed 12 months. High risk items should be re-inspected more frequently.
The risk will be assessed by the type, extent, condition and location of the identified asbestos. For more guidance, contact us at Survey Safe™ or you can view the Health and Safety Executive website.
