Fire Extinguisher training

Survey Safe offer this useful fire extinguisher training course that is designed for people who are without any practical knowledge of using a fire extinguisher.

This fire extinguisher course is presented in an easy to follow video format, broken down into bite sized modules. Once the video presentation modules have been completed, you can work through a series of multiple choice questions. A certificate of completion can then be downloaded and printed as proof you have taken and passed that particular training course.

Fire Safety in England and Wales is governed by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Under legislation in the United Kingdom the responsible person is required to include suitable and sufficient instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard themselves and other relevant persons on the premises and should be repeated periodically where appropriate. The responsible person must appoint one or more competent persons to assist them in undertaking the preventive and protective measures.

Each and every employee will require a basic level of fire awareness training. This will vary with the level of risk in the premises.

Some of the areas to consider in fire extinguisher training should be:

• The classification of fire,
• Fire extinguisher recognition,
• What fire extinguisher to use for the type of fire to be tackled,
• Safety instructions in the use of fire extinguishers.
